Keynote Speeches

Mike Baghdady: "Understanding Price as a Function of Human Behaviour"

“Human emotion is both the source of opportunity in trading and is also the Greatest Challenge’
Markets are made of individuals, all with hopes, fears and greed. As a trader we are looking  for opportunities that arise from these human emotions Winning traders make money by exploiting the consistently irrational behavior patterns of other traders.
Price Behavior works and continues to work because it is based on the market movements that result from the systematic and repeated irrationality that is embedded in every person.

Rob Booker: "The Vortex Trade"

The Vortex Trade is a method of taking advantage of probable corrections in the market following trending price movement that has wildly exceeded its statistical average. In this presentation Rob will:
  • Explain every rule for the trading system in detail,
  • Show his live account statements, demonstrating how the method has worked for him,
  • Provide a copy of the presentation and rules for each attendee.

Rob Booker is a trader, and author of adventures of a currency trader (Wiley, 2007), and Strategy:10 - downloaded over 500,000 times.

Chris Capre: "Is Your Passion Equal to the Task?"

We will ask and outline the fundamental questions to show you where your trading is at and if it is on track for success or failure.
In this speech, we will be discussing what millionaire traders do, what is the 10k rule, the top 10%, a movement towards simplicity, what it takes to build the mentality of success, what behaviors will you need to adopt to become successful and how you can put yourself on the straight path to trading successfully.
After this, you will finally understand what is the difference between a successful trader and you who could potentially breakout to become part of this community.

Todd Gordon: "Strategies of a Professional FX Trader"
In this session, Todd Gordon will explain the 3 dimensions of his professional trading style including 1) Intermarket and Fundamental Analysis, 2) Elliott Wave and Fibonacci Theory, 3) professional trade and account management.  He will share with you his exact trading tactics, which include precise entry and exit parameters based on Elliott Wave and Fib, position sizing, and risk management. Most importantly in this opening session,  Todd will explain Elliott Wave Principle in a clear, concise, and simple manner. Prepare for a candid look into the daily trading life of a professional foreign exchange trader. A basic knowledge of Elliott Wave Theory is recommended.

Triffany Hammond: "Your Self and Your Trading"

“Your Self and Your Trading” will give you the tools to create the often missed foundation piece of any trading system – an understanding of Self. Using discussion and exercises designed to hone in on the emotional underpinnings of your trading decisions Triffany Hammond will use her experience in Trading Psychology to help you create a business model around your trading that is custom fit to your risk profile and personal tendencies.

Self reflection, backtesting, journaling and planning we’ll cover it all in this jam-packed, eye-opening session.  Come prepared with lots of paper, a pen that you love and an open mind and you’ll walk away with a fresh perspective and amazing new tools to use in your system development.

Cornelius Luca: "Ichimoku Vs. MACD - A Different Approach To Trading"
Busy alpha traders continually seek the next big signal, but only sporadically they experiment with methods other than basic Fibonacci retracement levels, moving averages and trend lines. Those who do might use the “cloud” for another approach to support and resistance levels. It is a good first step toward the Ichimoku Kinkou-Hyo, a comprehensive method. Using the Ichimoku along with the more popular Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD),  traders will be better prepared to correctly trade trends and identify overbought/oversold phases. Being ahead of the crowd should never hurt your profit!

Boris Schlossberg: "Scalping for Fun and Profit"
Short term trading is very popular in the currency market - and for good reasons.  Short term trading can offer quick results to a nimble trader while at the same time providing greater control over risk. With 24 hour continuous action there is no shortage of short term trading opportunities in the FX market. This seminar will focus on several technical and fundamental short term trading strategies that try to capitalize on the repetitive every day price behavior of the market. We'll discuss the pros and cons of scalping the currency market and will show how to avoid some of more the pitfalls surrounding  this strategy.
